Meet the Dairy's Owner and Operator

Adam started milking cows with his dad, Frank, at Scot-Tex Dairy ever since he could walk. Growing up, you would either find Adam milking cows, playing sports, or wrestling with his brothers!

Adam attended Texas A&M University where he was President of the Dairy Science Club, and competed in several National Dairy Judging and Dairy Challenge competitions.  Adam was the last class of students to earn a Bachelors Degree in Dairy Science in 2007.

After college, he traveled north to the New Mexico-Texas Panhandle region where he worked as a Reproduction Consultant for Select Sires Inc.

In 2008, Adam wanted to return to his hometown to continue dairying. He collaborated with Eddie Moer Dairy and established a partnership called A&E Holsteins. On November 1, 2013, Adam gained full ownership and launched Wolf's Legendairy! On October 13, 2020, he opened his new robotic dairy facility in Scotland, TX where he now milks about 800 dairy cattle.

Adam is happily married to his high school sweetheart Hilary Wolf. They enjoy watching their 3 children grow up in their hometown and around the dairy industry.

Learn More About the Dairy

Our dairy is a family owned and operated robotic dairy farm in Scotland, Texas. Our goal is to produce nutritious and wholesome milk for you and your family.

At Wolf's Legendairy, we believe in providing our cows with the utmost comfort, nutrition, and care. We are the second operating robotic milking facility in the great state of Texas and are excited for this new journey. On our farm, the cows are milked 3-4 times a day as they wish and are supplied with water beds, cow comfort brushes, and ID collars to detect if they are sick. Their milk is shipped daily by DFA and ultimately made into Daisy Sour Cream and Chipotle Sour Cream. Adam, Frank, and the employees here at Wolf's Legendairy take great pride in producing a nourishing product for their families, their community, and the public.

Here are some more cool things about the dairy!

The Red Lights in the Photo: These red lights automatically switch on inside the barn at 10:00pm and shut off at 4:00am. Contrary to what many believe, cattle do not recognize the color red (dichromatic vision). Therefore, it appears dark in the barn to our cattle at night, allowing for better rest for them and better visualization for our employees to monitor the cattle when it is otherwise dark outside.

Summer Temperatures Inside the Barn: The cows enjoy the fans and water misting system on hot, dry summer days! The misting system automatically turns on when inside the barn is above 80F and there is less than 65% humidity. When designing the new dairy barn, cow comfort was the top priority.

The Robots

These robots help push the feed back to the cows' reach down the long feed aisles.

The Robotic Milkers

Here’s a look at one of our robotic milkers in action! Our cows walk up to the robots, and have their identification collars scanned. As they are eating a specialized ration of high energy grain, the laser detects where that cow’s teats are located. A spinning cleaning brush sanitizes the udder before the milkers are placed. From the inside of the robot room, we are able to view which cow is currently being milked and her personalized information.

Water Beds

We looked far and wide for premium beds for our cows. We ended up with these beds from Bioret Agri out of France. Each water bed is filled with 11 gallons of water and a 2 inch foam pad to provide optimum cow comfort while laying down.
